Devlog: Alpha Centauri

Introduction: Welcome to the first devlog for my  upcoming game, "Alpha Centauri" In this entry, I'll be detailing the progress made on various aspects of the game, including the implementation of a small preview map, the development of memory systems for the LiDAR device, and the expansion of the game's narrative.

Implementing a Small Preview Map: One of the critical elements of our game is the player's sense of exploration and navigation. To aid players in orienting themselves within the vast and eerie landscape of Alpha Centauri, I've implemented a small preview map feature. This map provides a bird's-eye view of the immediate surroundings, allowing players to plan their route and anticipate potential hazards.

Memory Systems for LiDAR: The LiDAR device serves as the player's primary tool for navigating the dark and foreboding terrain of Alpha Centauri. However, to add an extra layer of tension and challenge,  I've implemented a memory system for the LiDAR. Players are now limited in the number of scans they can perform before the LiDAR's memory becomes overloaded, temporarily disabling the device and leaving them vulnerable to the unknown horrors lurking in the darkness.

Lost of Story Building: Building upon the rich lore of Alpha Centauri,  I've delved deeper into the narrative aspects of the game. I've crafted a compelling story that immerses players in the desolate landscape of the planet.  From the chilling ambiance to the ominous echoes of inexplicable sounds, every element of the game contributes to the immersive storytelling experience.
